Registration is required and open to all for the virtual public meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, March 30, from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m., by the Public Interest Declassification Board (PIDB). Please register before Midnight tonight, March 29, by completing the form at this link: https://ems8.intellor.com?do=register&t=1&p=843241. After registering, you will receive an email with a personalized link, a dial-in number, an access code, and a unique Attendee ID for the PIDB virtual public meeting.
PIDB members will respond to questions submitted by the public to the PIDB email address at pidb@nara.gov. Questions received by email through the end of the virtual public meeting will be answered as time allows during the meeting. If your question is not answered during the meeting, responses from the members will be posted here on the blog Transforming Classification.
The meeting agenda will include discussion of recommendations for modernizing E.O. 13526; prioritizing declassification of historically significant records related to the 9/11 Attacks; advocacy for public access to Kennedy Assassination Records postponed from declassification; and progress toward meeting the FY 2022 NDAA requirement to complete a feasibility study on declassifying information on nuclear weapons testing in the Marshall Islands.
