The Public Interest Declassification Board (PIDB) will hold its rescheduled Public Meeting on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Senate Visitor Center in the U.S. Capitol, Washington, DC. Originally planned for October 2025, the meeting was delayed due to the federal government shutdown.
Registration for in person and virtual attendance will open next week. Please check our blog for updates regarding registration.
The PIDB Public Meeting will focus on the substantial body of classified records concerning the September 11th terrorist attacks that are approaching their 25-year mandatory declassification deadline, and the governmental measures needed to respond to the public’s call for their release.
At the Public Meeting, the Board welcomes the participation and engagement of many stakeholders who have long been advocates for transparency on the events surrounding 9/11. We look forward to remarks from U.S. Senators John Cornyn of Texas, Ron Wyden of Oregon, and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan.
