Preparations for the July 15 Open Meeting
The session focused primarily on planning for the upcoming open board meeting scheduled for July 15, 2026, in the Senate Visitor Center of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. During the meeting, members coordinated logistics, developed content, and reviewed recent requests from Congress. The upcoming open meeting is set to explore the ways in which the Board acts as a constructive collaborator with Congress on matters of classification and declassification, as well as the necessary elements for robust declassification legislation.
