PIDB Executive Session held on April 27, 2026

The Public Interest Declassification Board held an in-person executive session on April 27, 2026, at the National Archives in Washington, DC. The meeting was attended by PIDB members Mark Angelson, Carter Burwell, Ezra Cohen, Carmen Medina, Ryan Montoya, and Alissa Starzak.

Members gathered for a productive and essential meeting, focusing on several key areas critical to The Board’s mission and operations. The meeting began with a comprehensive security briefing delivered by the National Security Council. The conversation then turned to two recent Congressional requests, and a substantial part of the meeting focused on reviewing records associated with one of the requests. The agenda concluded with a discussion on the planning and logistics for the upcoming Open Meeting.
